Is it a car? Is it a truck? The Chevrolet El Camino is famous for being the best of both worlds and the best of them all in 1969 was the SS396 version of the El Camino, such as our example car.
This "TRUE" El Camino SS396 sports the original 325-hp 396 V8 with Quadrajet carburetion. The engine choice is made that much more exciting in that it is mated with the original four-speed manual transmission with Hurst shifter. This is one truck that can "haul the groceries" literally and figuratively.
Our feature El Camino sports power disc brakes, vinyl top and AM radio to head up the option list. No power robbing accessories here! It is equipped also with the original 12-bolt non-posi rear end.
This truck runs very well, as befitting a true SS396. The V8 starts and runs smoothly, and the transmission shifts well between the gears.
This car is simply beautiful! Check out the oh-so-long, laser strait, quarter side panels and admire how laser straight the entire body is. Every panel on this solid, southern Chevy is original with no dents, dings, damage or rust, NEVER EVER! The floors are original, rust free and solid! The bed is original, rust free and solid!
The LeMans Blue finish looks so deep you could almost reach down into it.The interior is excellent. Crack open the door on a warm day and you're rewarded with the pleasant scent of a new car.
